An Exchange Was Made and A Price Was Paid

God has provided deliverance and redemption to His people. Luke 1:68

  1. 2 Cor. 5:19 God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself.
    • He has delivered you from the authority of satan.
  2. Titus 2:14 Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
    • Jesus gave Himself up in order to buy us back from the authority of satan.
  3. 1 Cor. 1:30 (ampl) says Jesus was made your redemption, {providing our ransom from eternal penalty for sin}.
    • Jesus paid Himself and became the price that was due.
    • The eternal penalty for sin is death.
    • Jesus died for you, in your place.

An exchange was made, your sin for His righteousness.

  1. 2 Cor. 5:21 He who knew no sin was made to be sin for us that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.
    • Righteousness is right standing with God.
  2. Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.
    • It was by the good works of Jesus, you are saved and made righteousness.
  3. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
    • God is faithful to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (not being in right standing with God).

Jesus exchanged your sickness and disease for His health and healing. Isa. 53:4-5

  1. Ps. 103:4 Who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases;
    • The Lord heals ALL your diseases.
  2. Ps. 107:20 He sent His Word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction. God sent His Word to heal you.
    • John 1:14 Jesus is the Word made flesh.
    • Matt. 8:16-17 Jesus healed ALL who came to Him for healing and thus fulfilled Isa. 53:5, But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.
  3. 1 Pet. 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness; by whose stripes you are healed.

Jesus exchanged your poverty for His wealth. 2 Cor. 8:9

  1. Phil. 4:19 God shall supply ALL your needs according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus.
  2. Ps. 112:3 Wealth and riches shall be in your house.
  3. Ps. 35:27 It gives God pleasure to prosper you.

Jesus exchanged hell so you can go to Heaven.

  1. Acts 2:31 Jesus was resurrected from out of Hell.
  2. Acts 2:27 God did not allow Jesus to suffer corruption, and was not left in hell.
  3. 1 Pet. 1:4 Because Jesus paid your price in Hell and was raised from the dead, you have a place in Heaven reserved for you.
    • You receive that place by receiving the exchange or the sacrifice that Jesus paid for you.

How do I receive all that Jesus did?

  1. John 3:3 You must be born again.
  2. Rom. 10:9 If you confess with your mouth Jesus as your Lord, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (or born again).
  3. Rom. 1:17 The just (or those who have been born again) shall live by faith.
    • You receive all Jesus has done for you by faith.
    • Believe that what God has said in His Word He will do, and act on it. This is faith.
(For example: Father ,because you said in your word that Jesus became sin so that I could be made righteous, then I believe I am the righteousness of God in Him. I may not feel like it but You said it so I believe it.)
    • When you receive Jesus as your Lord, you are receiving all that He did for you.

Conclusion

  • Jesus made the exchange and Jesus paid the price. It is now up to you. God intended in the very beginning that His family would be blessed. God never intended His children to live in sin, sickness and poverty. God created us to be righteous, healthy and wealthy in every area of our lives.
  • When Adam sinned he gave over to satan authority in our lives. Thus, sin, sickness, and poverty came. John 10:10 says that satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Sin, sickness and poverty fits into these categories.
  • Jesus said He came to give you life and life more abundantly. Abundant life is one of righteousness, health and prosperity. Jesus paid the price for your righteousness by becoming sin and suffering its penalty. He paid the price for your health by suffering all your sickness and disease. He paid the price for your prosperity, by suffering your poverty. Romans 10:9 tell you that when you receive Jesus as your Lord, you shall be saved.
  • The Greek word translated “saved” includes righteousness, health, and prosperity. Jesus paid the price for you to walk in total victory, in every area of your life. He paid the highest price ever required of any man, His life. He gave you all He is and all he has in exchange for all you are and all you have.
  • Greater Love has no man than this, that a man lay down His life for his friends. Jesus loves you, receive Him now.

Prayer

Father, in the name of Jesus I ask you to forgive me for all my sin. I believe you raised Jesus from the dead for me. Jesus, I receive you as my Lord, and ask you now to come into my life. Make me the person you want me to be. I receive you Jesus and all you did for me. I believe that because of your death, burial, and resurrection, I am now the righteousness of God, I am healed, and I am prosperous in every area of my life. Thank you Jesus, I am now yours and you are mine, we are one.
